Physics and equipment:

The PSE VIPER speaker cabinet is a multi talent in every respect. It´s possible to use the speaker as a standalone-fullrange system, as a satellite, as a floor monitor or as a full functional line array system starting with 4 VIPER-pro. The VIPER is equipped with a 12” Neodymium coaxial speaker for the Low/Mid frequency

The special feature of this speaker cabinet are the two different high frequency devices. The first one is a 1” coaxial transducer with a fibreglass horn (80° / 60°). With which sound applications like standalone, satellite, floor monitor or downfill line array are possible. The second one is a line array planar wave guide high frequency horn (v 10° / h 90°) which runs with two 1,75” drivers. With these both high frequency systems and the functional housing measurements numerous of applications can be realized.

The weight is reduced to a minimum of 23 kg by using a new type of neodymium drivers.

Mechanic and handling:

On one side of the box is a handle for easy handling vis-a`-vis is a tripod mounting bracket for a distance pipe or tripod.

With the integrated flying system VIPER cabinets and the bass cabinet LB3 can easily be combined to a line array by using quick release pins together with the front and rear connectors. The setting angle is adjustable from 0° to 10° in 1° steps through the defined holes in the PSE flying hardware. For line array applications the input cable has just to plug in an other input socket of the cabinet.

The recommended bass cabinet for the VIPER is the LB3. The LB3 cabinet has the same width and uses the same flying hardware as the VIPER. So the LB3 could be used together with the VIPER in a line array application, the LB3 could also be used in the ground stack version of the VIPER.

Available in three different versions:

VIPER-pro:

Professional version with line array wave guide and coaxial speaker with fibreglass horn, for all applications.

VIPER-s:

Standard version with coaxial speaker with fibreglass horn. For all applications except line array. With the seperate available line array kit the VIPER-s could be upgraded to the VIPER-pro version.

VIPER-la:

Just line array applications are possible.

For starters the standard version (VIPER-s) can be used as a low price entrance. and it´s possible to convert it with an extensions kit including the line array high frequency horn and drivers to a VIPER-pro.

PSE-audio - connector terminal:

The PSE connector terminal is recessed in the backside of the housing. With 2x NL4 Speakon sockets for Line Array applications and 2x NL4 Speakon sockets for the standard operations. The parallel connectors allows to connect further VIPER cabinets.
